My name is Steve Sicard. I've spent years in the commercial sign industry, bidding and managing complex commercial sign projects.
For years, every time a commercial bid request landed in my inbox with a full architectural drawing set attached, I knew what was coming: hours of manual work, flipping through hundreds of pages, trying to find every signage callout across floor plans, elevations, specs, and coded notes. Hours that could be spent on production, sales, or actually running the business.
I looked for software that could do this automatically. Nothing existed that was built specifically for the sign industry. The general construction takeoff tools were designed for measurements and quantities in a construction context — not for reading signage schedules, coded notes, ADA callouts, and exterior elevation signage.
So I built SignBidPro.
What Makes SignBidPro Different
Most estimating software is built by software developers who learned the construction industry. SignBidPro was built by someone in the sign industry who learned software development.
That difference shows up in the details — the way the AI understands the difference between a surface-mounted room sign and a wall-recessed fire extinguisher cabinet, the way it knows to cross-reference coded notes against floor plan callouts to get true installed quantities, the way it handles multi-file drawing sets with different sheet prefixes.
These aren't features you'd build if you were guessing at what sign estimators need. They're features you build when you've done hundreds of sign takeoffs yourself.
